Looking for tips on how to maintain vinyl siding? Just remember some basic DO‘s and DON’Ts:
DO:
- Wash it – at least once a year, spray it down with a garden hose; if you don’t clean it often enough, it will be harder to get rid of all of the dirt and grime.
- Inspect it – investigate any hint of leaks – such as streaking or staining – as this is a possible warning sign that the wood may be rotting (or could rot).
DON’T:
- Bash it – vinyl can’t dent, but it can crack or break, so be careful not to hit it with things like a lawnmower or a bicycle.
- Melt it – don’t let any intense heat get too close (such as a grill or a patio torch) unless you want burn marks!
